I warn you however that prices at Myeongdong Night Market are higher than what’s typical in the rest of Seoul. Despite that, it IS a very tourist friendly place to experience many different things. And well… you’ll find plenty of local enjoying their time there too. Cheonggyecheon Stream is also home to the Seoul Lantern Festival – a can’t miss event that lights up Seoul’s night time hours in winter. If you continue walking south of the fortress trail at Naksan Park, you’ll end up at Heunginjimun Park, where the famous Dongdaemun Gate is. There’s also observatory spots were you’ll see panoramic night view of Seoul. Most of these sites can be enjoyed during the day too, but some are even better in the evening. A bartenders’ favourite, Old Fashioned has an excellent shelf of single-malt whiskeys and its cocktail list is heavy with pre-Prohibition Era drinks. Signless and located up three flights of stairs, it manages to avoid the mainstream Yeonnam-dong crowd with its completely black exterior. Although the interior may seem equally dark, bright accents such as candles and a small, circumspect balcony bring out the Di동코리아 bar's glow. Although not a secret bar, it is quite challenging to discover a more personal and discreet location than Charles H, the acclaimed cocktail bar situated in Four Seasons Seou


From buzzing night markets, to massive clubs, to late night nature jaunts, you’ll have an absolute blast discovering just how much there is to do in Seoul at night. Although it is at its busiest in the day-time and most food stalls close in the early afternoon, a handful of Gwangjang Market restaurants stay open until around 10pm. That said, for the full street food experience, it is best to visit Gwangjang Market by day. Gwangjang Market is Seoul’s most famous street food market, a maze of market stalls and late night restaurants selling some of the best food you’ll likely taste in Seoul.
