I warn you however that prices at Myeongdong Night Market are higher than what’s typical in the rest of Seoul. Despite that, it IS a very tourist friendly place to experience many different things.
I warn you however that prices at Myeongdong Night Market are higher than what’s typical in the rest of Seoul. Despite that, it IS a very tourist friendly place to experience many different things. And well… you’ll find plenty of local enjoying their time there too. Cheonggyecheon Stream is also home to the Seoul Lantern Festival – a can’t miss event that lights up Seoul’s night time hours in winter. There are some fantastic night time experiences

There is a 15,000 won cover but I do believe this includes a free drink upon entry. This Latin bar/club is a blast, featuring reggaeton music! It can get packed later in the night, but the atmosphere is always lively, and the crowd is diverse. Take the cable car up just before dusk, grab a drink at Di동코리아 the top, and you’ll see Seoul transform from day to nigh
If you continue walking south of the fortress trail at Naksan Park, you’ll end up at Heunginjimun Park, where the famous Dongdaemun Gate is. There’s also observatory spots were you’ll see panoramic night view of Seoul. Most of these sites can be enjoyed during the day too, but some are even better in the evening. Seoul is one of my favorite cities to explore at night, especially as a solo traveler. He is a Korean, Puerto Rican-American from the Richmond, Virginia area and received a bachelor’s degree in English from Virginia Commonwealth Universit
As I wander through the winding alleys, I’m greeted by the sounds of buskers and street performers, drawing in crowds of students and revelers alike. Hongdae is a serious contender for the largest nightlife area on the planet, with a dizzying array of bars, clubs, and restaurants to cater to every taste. If you’ve ever watched "Itaewon Class," you’ll recognize this as the location of Park Saeroyi’s first DanBam restaurant. However, if you’re in the mood for some soju, soft tofu stew, or spicy braised pork, it’s a good spot to visit after dinner. I love to party and Seoul has some of the most fun areas to party in all of the worl
Around 8 PM for a relaxed vibe, or 11 PM for peak energy. Huge crowds gather to watch impromptu performances or join in singalong sessions; we’ve even seen fans bring along K-pop light sticks to support their favourite street performers. One of the most famous K-Pop activities in Seoul is a visit to the brightly coloured K-pop bears of K Star Road in Gangnam (which are free to visit 24 hours a day). Seoul is K-Pop’s capital and full of ‘Hally-u’ highlights. This hip-hop lounge in Itaewon is my favorite spot. While the interior is a bit compact, the DJs are skilled and spin fantastic track
As a 24-hour venue, it serves as a sanctuary for those not quite ready to end their night or for those awaiting the first morning trains. This PC café embodies the city's accommodating and vibrant culture, ensuring that even in the early hours, there's a welcoming place for everyone. Understanding the local taxi system is crucial for seamless navigation through Seoul's streets. Taxis are plentiful, but being aware of the signs displayed can save you from unnecessary hassl
A bartenders’ favourite, Old Fashioned has an excellent shelf of single-malt whiskeys and its cocktail list is heavy with pre-Prohibition Era drinks. Signless and located up three flights of stairs, it manages to avoid the mainstream Yeonnam-dong crowd with its completely black exterior. Although the interior may seem equally dark, bright accents such as candles and a small, circumspect balcony bring out the Di동코리아 bar's glow. Although not a secret bar, it is quite challenging to discover a more personal and discreet location than Charles H, the acclaimed cocktail bar situated in Four Seasons Seou
From buzzing night markets, to massive clubs, to late night nature jaunts, you’ll have an absolute blast discovering just how much there is to do in Seoul at night. Although it is at its busiest in the day-time and most food stalls close in the early afternoon, a handful of Gwangjang Market restaurants stay open until around 10pm. That said, for the full street food experience, it is best to visit Gwangjang Market by day. Gwangjang Market is Seoul’s most famous street food market, a maze of market stalls and late night restaurants selling some of the best food you’ll likely taste in Seoul. One of Seoul’s most popular night markets and easily accessible by the Metro, Myeongdong Night Market is a tasty, treasure trove of cheap street food and evening eats. Between shopping, you can enjoy a variety of delicious snacks and popular street dishe
The entrance Di동코리아 is an empty room on the second floor that is complete with an always static television and rustic furniture. Hidden bars in Seoul have become the latest trend in South Korea with both Koreans and tourists alike. In mega cities like Seoul, it is easy to miss incredible locations, with buildings housing trendy locations that are not easy to come by when walking the streets of Seou
