A study in 1987 found 9 out of 19 children who received ABA were able to progress to a typical educational setting. During the implementation phase, the behavior analyst closely monitors the individual's progress. This data allows them to evaluate the effectiveness of the interventions and make data-driven decisions regarding treatment adjustments. Through the systematic application of ABA principles and techniques, such as reinforcement strategies, prompting, and shaping, ABA therapy helps individuals with ASD acquire and improve a wide range of skills.
